Whether you are one of those meticulous people, with rituals and hobbies, or you are more like to go out and improvise, we recommend that wherever you go with your electric bike you always take your <strong>helmet<\/strong>. And on this point many people disagree, because with the regulations in hand, <em><strong>helmets<\/strong> are not always mandatory<\/em>.     <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>This is what is established in the General Traffic Regulations:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Compulsory<\/strong>on the road and in the city for children under 16 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Compulsory on the road for everyone<\/li>\n<li>Not mandatory in the city for people over 16<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, with common sense in hand and the Regulations on the table, here are a couple of reasons why wearing a <strong>helmet<\/strong> on an <strong>electric bicycle<\/strong> is a good idea<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It will give you safety when pedaling by protecting the most vulnerable part of your body: your head.<\/li>\n<li>With an ebike you can easily reach 25 km per hour and keeping your head protected is the best option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, the DGT recognizes some specific situations for not wearing a helmet, such as, for example, for medical reasons, extreme heat or a prolonged climb. From UrbanBiker we encourage you to always wear a <strong>helmet<\/strong>. Make it fashionable! Choose an approved helmet, just like your bike. Ride quickly and safely.
